Investment Themes

We focus on investment opportunities which are aligned with these four structural trends shaping the economy in China, and globally:

  • Future of Consumption illustrates structural shifts in consumption patterns. Some examples include emerging young domestic brands that can capture demand from Generation Z and lower-tier cities in China; digitalised platforms and enablers that are driven by user base expansion and technology advancements; and shift of consumption to the virtual world
  • Digitisation has been transforming industries and business models. Amongst various digitalisation trends, there has been fast adoption of digital tools and software to drive industrial digitalisation. Supply chain localisation is also expected to benefit from growing talent pool in China
  • Longer Lifespan drives growing needs for quality healthcare particularly with ageing population and rising affluence. To serve these needs, we see opportunities in high quality healthcare services and products, and potential for innovative biotechnology and medical technology players to emerge
  • Sustainable Living embraces greener, cleaner and more efficient solutions across sectors. Concerns around climate change and sustainability are driving increased efforts to reduce carbon emissions and spurring favourable policy towards decarbonisation in China, and globally
